This developmentally appropriate modality fosters emotional growth, resilience, and coping skills, providing children with the tools they need to thrive.

Teen Therapy

Adolescence is a time of significant change and growth. Our therapists blend talk therapy with expressive arts and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where teens can explore their identity, build self-confidence, and develop effective coping strategies. We’re here to help teens navigate the complexities of their developmental journey with confidence.

Adult Therapy

For adults facing life adjustments, trauma, depression, or anxiety, we offer a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and particularly Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). These therapies provide a pathway to healing and emotional well-being, helping adults reprocess traumatic memories and manage life’s challenges more effectively.

What is play therapy and when is it recommended?

Play therapy is a developmentally appropriate form of counseling that uses play as a way for children to express emotions, process experiences, and build coping skills. It is often recommended for children who are struggling with trauma, anxiety, behavioral concerns, grief, or difficulty expressing themselves through words.

How does EMDR help with trauma?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy for trauma and PTSD. It helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they feel less overwhelming. Over time, EMDR reduces the emotional intensity of traumatic experiences and allows healthier coping and healing.

Do you offer tele-health for individual counseling?

Yes. Thrive Therapy provides secure tele-health sessions for children, teens, and adults. Online therapy can be a flexible option when in-person counseling isn’t possible and is available for clients in Florida and Texas where our therapists are licensed.

Do parents participate in child sessions?

Yes, parent involvement is encouraged. While much of play therapy happens one-on-one with the child, parents are often included in the process through check-ins, collaborative goal setting, and strategies to support progress at home.
